Remote Controlled Toys: Some Great Tips For Purchasing Them

Grown men and children alike tend to love remote controlled toys. This industry will never get old because the toys just get more imaginative and more technologically advanced. Today's versions can climb walls, do flips, fly through the air, and even sail across a lake.

If you are looking to purchase remote operated toys for your children or that grown man in your life with a child's heart, there a few things you have to consider. Instead of just looking around stores and finding something that you think they will like, look at a few technical details to ensure they will get the most pleasure possible out of playing with their new toys.

First, consider what type of toy they would enjoy most. Remote controlled cars have been around forever, but today you can get remote controlled trucks, planes, helicopters, and even boats that really race across the open water. If you know which one is of more interest you can narrow down the market considerably.

The next consideration is what size you want your model to be, though this is largely a question of budget as well. Obviously, the larger your model the more it is going to cost so that will have some impact on your final decision. Today's market offers small scale models that are suitable for children of all ages as well as very large models that could be almost bigger than some smaller children.

Going right along with size and price is the power of the toy. There are some very powerful toys on the market that travel fast, but they have one drawback, which is the battery. Batteries have come a long way in recent years, but they still are not very efficient for larger, powerful toys.

The larger your toy is, the more power you can expect it to use up. This means the batteries will not last as long before they have to be recharged. In general, a really large sized remote control toy may last only fifteen minutes at a time when the battery has a full charge.

For this reason, many larger scale models are used as collector's items for older children or adults, rather than real play time for smaller children.

As a final note on the current market for remote controlled toys, it is important to realize that these toys have gone up in price over the years but for very good reason. It used to be that remote controlled vehicles had wires attaching the remote to the actual car. Now, most are completely wireless and travel at much higher speeds.

What Are 1/10 Scale Acme RC Cars?

by Ferdinand Emy

The 1/10 scale refers to the proportion by which the RC car is built to the full-size vehicle which it is modeled after.

1/10 scale Acme RC cars are ten times smaller than their full-size counterparts. First, 1/10 scale Acme RC cars are popular because of their scale or proportion. 1/10 scale Acme RC cars are among some of the most popular RC vehicles. The Cyclone is another example of an entry level 1/10 scale Acme RC car that is known for delivering good speed and reliability.

There are also larger size RC cars as well. Whether this is your first RC car or you have been a lifelong fan, the purchase of a new car can still involve making many decisions. There are two primary 1/10 scale Acme RC cars that are quite popular with many hobbyists. Which type of RC car will best suit your needs? There are so many decisions that must be made when choosing a RC car. Acme brand RC cars are widely considered to be among the highest quality RC cars produced and marketed.

While this certainly may seem as though it is quite small, 1/10 scale Acme RC cars are not nearly as small as 1/18 scale RC cars. Unlike the nitro buggy; notwithstanding, keep in mind that the Cyclone was originally designed for on road racing instead of off-road racing. These cars are known for delivering excellent power and value as well as for lasting a long time. Both types of 1/10 scale Acme RC cars are excellent for beginners. The buggy is considered to be a good car to get started with if you are just beginning your RC car collection.

There are even some RC cars that are built to an even smaller scale. Another reason that 1/10 scale Acme RC cars are so popular is because of the Acme brand. If you are looking for a RC car that will be well worth the investment then Acme is definitely a good brand to consider purchasing. The price for 1/10 scale Acme RC cars may be a bit steeper than other brands or even other scales of cars, but they are definitely a good investment to consider making. One is the nitro buggy.

This is the case for a wide variety of different reasons. 1/10 scale Acme RC cars fall into a mid-line category in terms of scale and proportion.

Choosing Between Electric and Gas RC Helicopters

by Sam Lin

RC Helicopters are one of the most popular rc toys. His popularity is not entirely surprising. Imagine full filling your dream of flying a plane without too much cost or effort. And most importantly: with your feet on the ground. Well that's a factor if you do not want to risk your life flying in the sky.

RC Helicopters usually come as either gas or electric. Here are some differences between the two types:

Electric RC Helicopters are a better choice if you are a beginner with rc's. The reasons are simple. Electric RC Helicopter is easier to use than other RC helicopters, especially the gas type. With electric you will not have to worry about how much gas it will consume and you would not be required to have good knowledge of the mechanics. You do not need to spend too much time reading manuals just to understand how it works. And if the device crashes, it should not be too hard to understand how to fix the problem.

If you believe that electric RC helicopters do not fly long enough, then you should have a look at your perspective. Most electric RC use lithium and coupled are with brushless motors. This will allow a much longer flying time.

Another benefit is; it is very quiet in the air so you should not disturb other people

RC helicopter pilots with more experience prefer gas RC Helicopters for several reasons. Gas RC helicopter fly like a helicopter would fly, due to the size of the engine, and creates more excitement. Oh! One might think it is absolutely absurd. But no! The sound of the engine makes the flying experience very exciting. Another reason is that gas RC helicopters are more complicated, the driver of the dependency itself. Why? This is because the pilot not only needs to fly the helicopter alone. The driver is in control of the mechanism of RC. This gives even more reason to be happy about the RC Helicopter.

Choosing between an electric RC helicopter and a gas RC helicopter is up to you. Evaluate carefully so that you get the most out of your RC flying experience.
